It snuck up on me. . . I swear!

So as much as I love Christmas I would love to push it back about a week. I bought my last two gifts today. Thank GOD! I am excited to see all of Shawn's family that are coming into town. They are a lot of fun. I had an extreme blond moment and forgot to request Christmas off. Which I totally would have got, if I had only asked. But I have a great opportunity to make some really good money: Double-time Baby! I only work 12:30-6:30. That's not too bad. Then I have a three day weekend. Fri, Sat and I got Sunday off. Woo-Hoo.
Friday is the Snider Christmas. I am gonna squeeze baby Luke soo hard his cheeks turn red. He is so stink'in cute. I can't wait to see what everyone got. Not me- everyone else. The older I get the less I really care what I get for Christmas. Talk about getting older. I jumped straight to geriactrics. LOL! I can't wait to see Shelby on her scooter tomorrow. We put it out a day early. Shawn and I are going to put her new Big-Girl Pink room together in the morning. She will LOVE it.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas. Make special memories with your families and take a but-load of pictures of your children (if you have them). Say "Thank you " for every singe gift you receive this year. Remember it's a Recession People. And maybe actually be greatful that you have someone and something to be thankful for this year.

Getting Ready for Christmas

The tree is up, the "Nick-Knacks" are out and the lights have been hung. All without any injuries. Can you believe it? We are slowly getting into the spirit but at least we are headed in the right direction. For example on Saturday I will be going to a women's brunch with my mom and sister at 9:30am, then going to a cookie exchange at 11, followed by the USAA's Children's Holiday Party from 1-4pm and then coming home to change, breath and dress my daughter and husband for Debb's annual boat parade/ holiday party on the water. My guess is that I will pass out by 8pm on Debb's couch and will have to be dragged home like a dead corpse. I hope Shawn can carry my butt. Maybe a cocktail or two will keep me going. We will have to see.

I was able to order all of Shelby's new bedding and it is perfect. My vision for her room is all coming together. I will have to schedule my personal Handy-Man to make the appropriate adjustments in regards to shelving, frames and her new canopy leaves. It's gonna be awesome! I will post a picture when we are done. I am thinking sometime after New Years. She will finally have a "Little Girl's Room". I went way to practical with the farm. (Although I do LOVE it) And it sounds like practical and neutral were unnecessary because Shawn doesn't want anymore children. O-well.

Great weekend with Family & Friends

The family got together and went to "Mother Natures Farm" on Friday. We had a great time and the kids were fabulous.

On Sunday I made a double batch of Chili and the crew came over for a carving party. It was chill and laid back and overall a wonderful time.

State Fair Sunday Night!

We went to the Arizona State Fair on Sunday afternoon. We had a great time! I came to the realization that my daughter would much rather be on Candice's lap that hanging with momma. LOL! Shelby was a rockstar and even stayed awake on the road home playing with Shawn's I-Phone.

Jenni Got Hitched in Vegas!

So this weekend we took Shelby to the grandparents house and headed to Vegas for a wild weekend. We had such a great time. The weather, hotel and all things wedding related were AWESOME! We hit some awesome clubs and partied like rockstars. The turnout was great and Roger and Jenni felt so blessed to know that so many loving family and friends would come so far to show their support. Here are some pictures of our wild times.

And these are the party pics! ! ! !

Jenni's Bachelorette Party

Thank you to everyone who came to help us celebrate Jenni's last weekend as a single girl.
We kept it simple for our Jenni's Bach Party and had a night in. (This way we don't have to worry about getting kicked out of any bars for fighting. . . I am not kidding!) The theme for the night was "Naughty & Nice". The idea was to bring a gift for Jenni that was either Naughty or Nice. Naughty wrapped in Black and Nice wrapped in Pink. No name tags and no telling anyone what you brought. This allowed everyone to go as WILD or MILD as they would like. But don't worry the craziest it got was a Bondage starter set. LOL! Gee. . . I wonder who is gonna get tied up? Run Roger, Run! We had Lisa Dimas from "Girls Only" come over and show us what is new in the adult toy market. We bought Jenni what was on her "OOOh" list and even a little something for ourselves. She even got some free gifts on top of her % off. She made out like a bandita. LOL! We snacked on hand dipped chocolate covered strawberries, fruit cabobs and brownies and had a blast with the Boob cupcakes and Pecker sugar cookies. Sipped on Champagne and had Sex on the Beach & Fuzzy Screws. (I think my new favorite drink!) Remember the Theme? Get it?

Overall it was a good night. Did I mention the "Stripper Pole"? Yea, we took a few spins on it for a good time. Much harder than you think! But don't worry, this pole stays at home. Although if anyone wants to borrow it for a party let me know.

Girls Night Out!!!

Our good friend Samantha is getting married. On Saturday we had her bridal shower then hit the town for her bachelorette party. We had a fabulous time! The shower was very nice and Michelle did a wonderful job. There were pictures of Jared and Sam throughout the house and even special candy bars with their names on them. Sam got so many gifts from her registry there is probably nothing left. LOL! It will all match nicely in the new house.

We rented a really nice party bus for the night so no one needed to be sober and everyone could get waisted. GREAT IDEA! Regretting it a little the next day though. I took a lot of pics but out of consideration to the bride, I left the really good ones out of the slide show. Here is a sneak peak at our night. I am not in many of them because I was the paparazzi. If you notice we pumped her full of quite a bit of alcohol. And notice the beautiful "Crunk Cup" that yours truly made. LOL!

Thank you to everyone! This night was really fun and having everyone together made it even better. If anyone has any pictures please email me them. I am going to make Sam a keepsake for the night she hardly remembers but will never forget. LOL!

Celebrating Race Car Style

So Tuesday is my dad's 57th Birthday! We decided to do something a little out of the ordinary. We through him a "Race Car" themed surprise party. You know, like a kid would have. Balloons, race car cake, and Hot Wheels plates and napkins. We went all out. Jessica and Phil even brought over Wii Mario Cart racing. Sooo much fun on our new TV. He was very surprised and we all had a very good time.
The kids were sooo excited to see their Nanna and Pappa when they came through the door. Shelby went right to Nanna and Luke went to Pappa. Toooo CUTE!
The Two Master Minds
Jessica brought over the yummy lunch. Fried chicken and the works from Basha's. It was just the right amount of food for all of us and no one had to cook. Such a genius idea by Jess.

The kids loved the toys and played very well together. Again! Luke is getting really into cars now. Shawn even gave him one of his VW Beetles from his collection. He picked the blue one, just like his mommy had hoped. LOL!

I even found a yellow and black Mustang for his race car cake. It was sooo good. Just the right amount of frosting and just the right size. And only $15! Super Target is AWESOME!

Just a Stoll in the Park

Today I decided to get Shelby up and out of the house this morning. We are used to staying inside to play unless we are swimming or running errands. We went to the park next to our house and I followed her up and down and all around. She climbed the stairs, went down the slides, and ran everywhere! Our park is nice because one of the large equipment sets has the shade cover over it. It helps the metal and plastic from getting so hot you don't burn your bum. She had a great time. When the weather gets nicer we will be able to go more often. It is great exercise for the both of us.
So this week Shelby and I have been lucky enough to watch the Men's and Women's USA Volleyball teams make it to the metal games. It is not very often you can turn on the TV and watch court volleyball. I was so excited when Shelby grabbed her drink and sat down in her bounce chair to watch the games. It was amazing! I could see her eyes following the ball and the players. It was so nice not to have to chase her tiny butt around the house and try and listen for the score. I am such a proud mama. She is going to be my next Logan Tom. Which coincidentally; I did want to name her after. She was supposed to be a Logan, until we picked Shelby.

Just finishing up the summer on a good note

The last few weeks have been great! Winding down from all the traveling we have done over the last few months. We were lucky enough to hit up two parties over the last two weekends though. Both were a lot of fun and let us enjoy the rest of the summer. For all of those tuning in from Michigan it is still at least 105' here in good 'ol Phoenix.

Kim and Andy invited us over for a really fun swim party to celebrate Kim's birthday. Shelby was having a blast with the pool stairs! She could run the whole width of the pool and go talk to people. We got to meet some of Kim's college friends and drink some beer. Not a bad combo. Everyone was really nice. We also got some exciting news yesterday! Andy purposed to Kim in Lake Tahoe this weekend. Congratulations! We are very happy that Andy has found someone that matches his personality so well.

The second party was Jenni's open house for her new condo. She had a great turn out and we had a very good time. Of course her mom made the infamous potato salad and Roger made an AWESOME Sangria. Things are getting underway for their wedding in Vegas on Oct 11th. We just booked our rooms at The Tuscany, which happens to be where they are getting married. I am excited because I heard the rooms are really nice. I am keeping up on my weight so I can continue to fit in my dress. Once again- SIZE 6 people!!! I am going to be busy over the next two months planning/organizing her batchlorette party and maybe even her wedding shower. I need to ask her or her mother. LOL! Jenni took all the pics so I will have to get some from her. I know there are some really cute ones.

So after reading my sister's blog; the word is out! I am going to have another nephew or maybe even a niece. I am so excited!!! The only thing that would make it better is if they would move up to Phoenix. But I doubt that is going to happen. They are only an hour and a half away. And besides, I need to make more of an effort to go down and visit them. We have just been so busy there is no way it was going to happen. I just re-organized all of Shelby's cloths just in case, wink*wink, someone has a girl. But she will have to fight for them because I have two other friends shooting for babies in the spring. But there is definitely enough cloths for everyone to share.

Now I would like to set the record straight for everyone who is keeping track of the Snider, Potts baby cycle. Yes I am next and if the cycle stays true I should get pregnant with #2 sometime in the next two-three months. I have been getting this ? a lot lately and here is your answer. We are NOT trying or really ready for another baby. I am not saying that we do not WANT another baby; just that we do not want another one so soon. If anything changes I will let you know. LOL!

Shelby's Big Bash

Create Your Own

Shelby's party went very well. She was such a good little girl and showed how much of a social butterfly she is. It looked like everyone had a very good time. The food was amazing and we had just enough. Heather and Patty made the most beautiful cake and it was so delicious. We had enough food to feed about 80 people. We cleared 15lbs of pulled pork, a 8lb honey ham and at least 5-30 packs of beer. Thanks boys! All the family and the friends came over to play. Swimming, Pinata and Sand Pail Goody Buckets made the night fun. The only thing I would re-do is having time to mingle with my friends. We had a lot of people from out of town and I always find it hard to get around to everyone when I am trying to get everything done. But I hope everyone understands.

Thank you to everyone who helped us get ready for the party over the last few weeks. Yard work, baking and decorating; we could not have done it without you guys. Also a big thanks to everyone who came out to celabrate Shelby' s big 1yr. We love all of our friends and family and are so blessed to have all of you in our lives. And man do you guys bring kick ass gifts. Shelby made out like a bandit. Thank you!
